So im going to vent now about my horribly sucky day at work, not that i think too m any ppl give a rats ass. but anywho... TUESDAY: it began as any regular day at Vanilla Pastry Studio ( www.vanillapastry.com ) every thing was going just fine. Our Chef (April) left early for the day and left Christina (also my roomie) and me to finish mixing a few things and close up shop. I ended up making a 20qt mixer full of chocolate cake batter to be used the next day... everything SEEMED fine. Then i had a cheesecake in the oven while i was cleaning. right before we left i took out the cheesecake and put it in the fridge. We took one last look around the shop everything looked clean and we left. WEDNESDAY: get to work at 7:30 with my Chef and one other girl jen... April goes to the ovens to turn them on and asks "Heidi, did you just turn this oven on?" i reply "uh... no..." and april looks at me with her "mom-like" you're in trouble look and says "you mean to say you left the oven on ALL night?" in my head im going... took the cheesecake out and... yeah i left and let the oven on... SHIT!... so i get the "stink-eye" for awhile. then we bake some choco cupcakes... and we discovered that Tuesday when i made the batter i used baking POWDER instead of SODA... dee dee dee, im an ass hole. so she flips out and tells me to do it over. so i begin to scale it again. after we threw away a 20qt mixer worth of batter, she trusted me to do it again... and low-and-behold.. i fucked it up again. ahhhhhh... im all owed one BAD day right?

the pastry is difficult, one must be very accurate
I have had many errors:
Problems with caramel, mix chocolate with water x.x!,burn cookies....well...everything you can imagine
but in the end I do good work and for your photos i think that with you is the same, so let the day pass, at least you learn to always check the oven before closing the shop
Nobody gets to make such divine masterpieces as the ones in your gallery without making a FEW mistakes from time to time!
Chin up! Chin up!
Just remember, you're at a great internship - and most should be envious. (i am =X ahaha)
I'd say you should be allowed a bad day or two, I mean, it happens to all of us.
Best of luck, I really hope they see it's just one bad day and that this doesn't compromise your position there.
